What is Sacred Spaces?
We support ordinary people to cultivate sacred spaces in everyday places.
Sacred Spaces are environments where life-giving communities can emerge and flourish - around a table, in a neighbourhood or outdoors.
In the Western world, disconnection, dislocation, loneliness, and isolation are on the rise—driven by systems and stories that have lost a shared vision for the common good.
The breakdown of community and ability to communicate with those different to us has seriously damaging consequences at every level of society.
So we are seeking to move from disconnection and isolation to reconnection and community in everyday places.
We believe the sacred life is discovered through people, purpose, and presence—and that it often appears in the most ordinary and unexpected places.
The Problem
The Solution
Beautiful
These sacred spaces are beautiful, thoughtfully and intentionally created environments that foster a sense of belonging, shared purpose, and meaningful connection. They are vibrant expressions of community life.
Active
More than experts, platforms, or brands, what we need are committed, active participants—people who are willing to cultivate and strengthen the fragile, often isolated bonds of life in the Western world.
Grounded
We believe ordinary people grounded in local places hold the keys to cultivating thriving, healthy communities . Our vision of the sacred is a deeply human, grounded and local expression of shared life.
Reclaiming Community in a Fragmented World
What Sacred Space Could You Cultivate?
Table
Creating warm, welcoming spaces where under-30s in your city can gather over shared meals and meaningful conversations.
Neighbourhood
Bringing light and hope to your community by opening your doors, your hands, and your heart—through genuine hospitality, shared moments, and meaningful action that meets real needs.
Wild
Journeying into nature together—slowing down, awakening our senses, and discovering wonder in the wild.
How Can We Help?
The Sacred Spaces community offers a team of fellow practitioners—mission accompaniers, coaches, spiritual directors, and mentors—who come alongside and support networks of like-minded people as they imagine new sacred expressions of communal life in ordinary, everyday places.
Join our regular online gatherings for newcomers to explore what a sacred space could look like in their own local context.
Stories from Sacred Spaces
“Our understanding of the Sacred is shaped by a story which centres around Jesus Christ, who reveals God as a community of perfect love and shows us how to reconnect with God, ourselves and the world around us.”
